Invest time in learning these languages

Invest time in learning these languages

Exams are over. Summer holidays are going on. All play with no food for thought, will make you a dull person, no? So, I thought why not list some languages that you can learn this summer. πŸ™‚

I have been giving a lot of thought on the list of languages that are being taught presently in schools under the second language. Most of the school offer, French or German. According to me, we should be upgrading our languages list. The world and its power are shifting at a fast pace. Learning French or German might just end up being an extra language on your resume with no actual use. Like, I have Sanskrit in my Xth board certificate.

People should learn a language. There are a lot of benefits to learning a new language. But, if we happen to learn and then get to use that language, then it will be a bonus for us, right?

We live in a global economy. Learning a certain language can help us have a better job opportunity. I will not put English in the list, because if you are reading this blog, you already have that covered πŸ™‚

Chinese/Mandarin

If you really want to have a unique skill, I would recommend you to learn Chinese. Mandarin is the most spoken language in the world.

China is emerging as a very strong economy in front of the USA. If you know Mandarin, then there are a lot of job opportunities in China, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong waiting for you.

Do keep in mind, it is also the most challenging language to learn. But, success never comes easy, right?

Arabic

If you are interested in the petroleum industry, defence, refugee work, diplomatic jobs, then you can learn Arabic. It will help you get job opportunities in growing economies like the Middle East and Africa. As trade will continue to expand in Arab countries, the language will be more sought for.

Spanish

Spanish is a very widespread language. It is the primary language of more than 20 countries. So if you want to interact with people in Latin America or understand the song – Despacito, then go for Spanish πŸ™‚

Hindi

People these days take pride in saying they can’t read Hindi script. Hindi is in the top 10 list of most spoken languages. A lot of jobs in Hindi-speaking state will require you to be proficient in Hindi. So, brush up your Hindi skills this summer.

Other languages that can be learnt are French, German, Portuguese and Japanese. I have a friend who is obsessed with learning Japanese. She has even installed an app to learn it.

Which language interests you?

Do let us know in the comment section below.

P.S. Well, giving a little personal opinion of mine, I am not advocating you to learn the languages and shift abroad πŸ˜›
Do learn them, get a job that will make you travel to these countries, but don’t forget your roots.

Happy Language Learning πŸ™‚
