The artists of Patna have never missed a chance to mesmerise the public with unique and creative Puja Pandals on every Durga Puja. Right from Patna City to the stretch of Danapur,expanding across Boring Road and Kankarbagh, the city brightens up in the colourful lights and all other pomp and show. After some jolts and holds due to pandemic, this year, Patnaites are ready to welcome Maa Durga with more enthusiasm and preparation.
Durga Puja is around the corner and the city has begun its preparation with amazing and unique pandals.
Pandals on the theme of Dwarkadhish Gopal Mandir of Ujjain will be seen at Adishakti Yuva Manch near Ram Jaipal More in Gola Road. This pandal is being constructed by 9 artisans from Madhupur in Jharkhand. The work of construction of the pandal is going on for the last 25-30 days, which will be completed by 30 September.
Etwarpur located in Sipara, Patna will look very attractive and different as this time you can also enjoy the laser light show in this pandal. Here a pandal is being built on the theme of Tamil Nadu’s Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple, which will look very attractive. A 15 feet statue of Maa Durga is being made with a crown and sari made from seeds of fruits and flowers. After the construction of the structure, idols will also be made in the pandal from thermocol. Just like the idols are seen in Meenakshi temple.
Talking about the Boring Road intersection, one of the famous posh areas from Patna, will have Kolkata’s famous Victoria Memorial Palace as Puja Pandal. As per the committee, this time the puja pandal will be built in about three thousand square feet at the crossroads whose height will be about 60 feet and width will be up to 50 feet. Every year, the Durga Puja pandal at the Boring Road intersection is known for its grandeur. Around 10-15 lakh people come to see the puja pandal.
After recovering from the Corona crisis, this time preparations are going on with double energy to celebrate Durga Puja in a grand manner in Patna. In the city, the work of making pandal-murti decorations started a month ago. After two years, Durga Puja Pandal will be constructed in about three and a half thousand square feet this year at Dakbangla intersection. The height of the Puja pandal will be between 80 to 85 feet and the width will be between 40 to 45 feet.
Along with Pandals, several Dandiya Nights and Music fests around the city also adds on to the festive season.
